²³ So when you are offering your gift at the altar, if you remember that your brother or sister has something against you,^{(A) 24} leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift. ²⁵ Come to terms quickly with your accuser while you are on the way to court^[a] with him, or your accuser may hand you over to the judge and the judge to the guard, and you will be thrown into prison.^{(B) 26} Truly I tell you, you will never get out until you have paid the last penny.

The Commissioning of the Disciples

¹⁶ Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.^{(A) 17} When they saw him, they worshiped him, but they doubted. ¹⁸ And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.^{(B) 19} Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit^{(C) 20} and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”^[a]
