²⁰ and teaching^(A) them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you^(B) always, to the very end of the age.”^(C)

⁵ No one will be able to stand against you^(A) all the days of your life. As I was with^(B) Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake^(C) you.

⁹ One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision:^(A) “Do not be afraid;^(B) keep on speaking, do not be silent. ¹⁰ For I am with you,^(C) and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.”

¹⁸ I will not leave you as orphans;^(A) I will come to you.^{(B) 19} Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me.^(C) Because I live, you also will live.^{(D) 20} On that day^(E) you will realize that I am in my Father,^(F) and you are in me, and I am in you.^{(G) 21} Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.^(H) The one who loves me will be loved by my Father,^(I) and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

²² Then Judas^(J) (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”^(K)

²³ Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching.^(L) My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.^(M)

Love and Hatred for Fellow Believers

³ We know^(A) that we have come to know him^(B) if we keep his commands.^{(C) 4} Whoever says, “I know him,”^(D) but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.^(E)

² The Lord was with Joseph^(A) so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. ³ When his master saw that the Lord was with him^(B) and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did,^(C)

²¹ the Lord was with him;^(A) he showed him kindness^(B) and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.^(C)
