The Great Commission

¹⁶ Now the eleven disciples ^(A)went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. ¹⁷ And when they saw him they ^(B)worshiped him, but some doubted. ¹⁸ And Jesus came and said to them, ^(C)“All authority ^(D)in heaven and on earth has been given to me. ^19 (E)Go therefore and ^(F)make disciples of ^(G)all nations, ^(H)baptizing them ^(I)in^{[a] (J)}the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them ^(K)to observe all that ^(L)I have commanded you. And behold, ^(M)I am with you always, to ^(N)the end of the age.”

⁹ because, if ^(A)you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and ^(B)believe in your heart ^(C)that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ¹⁰ For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. ¹¹ For the Scripture says, ^(D)“Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” ^12 (E)For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; ^(F)for the same Lord is Lord of all, ^(G)bestowing his riches on all who call on him. ¹³ For ^(H)“everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

¹⁴ How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him ^(I)of whom they have never heard?^[a] And how are they to hear ^(J)without someone preaching? ¹⁵ And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ^(K)“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” ¹⁶ But ^(L)they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, ^(M)“Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” ¹⁷ So ^(N)faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
