⁴⁰ And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. And he said to Peter, “So, could you not watch with me one hour? ^41 (A)Watch and ^(B)pray that you ^(C)may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” ⁴² Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, ^(D)your will be done.” ⁴³ And again he came and found them sleeping, for ^(E)their eyes were heavy. ⁴⁴ So, leaving them again, he went away and prayed for ^(F)the third time, saying the same words again.

³⁷ And taking with him ^(A)Peter and ^(B)the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. ³⁸ Then he said to them, ^(C)“My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and ^(D)watch^[a] with me.”

³⁸ “Speak to the people of Israel, and tell them to ^(A)make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a cord of blue on the tassel of each corner. ³⁹ And it shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the Lord, to do them, ^(B)not to follow^[a] after your own heart and your own eyes, which you are inclined ^(C)to whore after.
