^34 (A)Jesus said to him, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, ^(B)before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” ^35 (C)Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you!” And all the disciples said the same.

Jesus Prays in Gethsemane

^36 (D)Then Jesus went with them ^(E)to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go over there and pray.” ³⁷ And taking with him ^(F)Peter and ^(G)the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. ³⁸ Then he said to them, ^(H)“My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and ^(I)watch^[a] with me.” ³⁹ And going a little farther he fell on his face ^(J)and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let ^(K)this cup pass from me; ^(L)nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.” ⁴⁰ And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. And he said to Peter, “So, could you not watch with me one hour?
