²⁵ Then Judas, His betrayer, replied, “Surely not I, Rabbi?”^(A)

“You have said it,” He told him.

⁴⁸ His betrayer had given them a sign: “The One I kiss, He’s the One; arrest Him!”

⁵ “Why wasn’t this fragrant oil sold for 300 denarii^[a](A) and given to the poor?”

⁶ He didn’t say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief.^(A) He was in charge of the money-bag and would steal part of what was put in it.
