⁶But at midnight there was a shout, Behold, the bridegroom! Go out to meet him!

⁷Then all those virgins got up and put their own lamps in order.

⁸And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.

⁸And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

⁶“At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

⁷“Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. ⁸The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’^(A)
