¹⁰ And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and ^(A)those who were ready went in with him to ^(B)the marriage feast, and ^(C)the door was shut.

^25 (A)When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ^(B)‘Lord, open to us,’ then he will answer you, ^(C)‘I do not know where you come from.’

Called to Be Holy

¹³ Therefore, ^(A)preparing your minds for action,^[a] and ^(B)being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

³⁶ and be like men who are ^(A)waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and ^(B)knocks. ^37 (C)Blessed are those servants^[a] whom the master finds ^(D)awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, ^(E)he will dress himself for service and ^(F)have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them.

⁴⁴ Therefore you also must be ^(A)ready, for ^(B)the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

²⁰ He who testifies to these things says, “Surely ^(A)I am coming soon.” Amen. ^(B)Come, Lord Jesus!

⁶ But ^(A)at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’
