³⁷ For ^[a]the ^(A)coming of the Son of Man will be ^(B)just like the days of Noah.

^26 (A)And just as it happened ^(B)in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of Man: ²⁷ people were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, and they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. ^28 [a]It was the same as happened in ^(C)the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, and they were building;

²⁰ who once were disobedient when the ^(A)patience of God ^(B)kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of ^(C)the ark, in which a few, that is, ^(D)eight ^(E)persons, were brought safely through the water.

¹⁰ Because you have ^(A)kept ^(B)My ^[a]word of perseverance, ^(C)I also will keep you from the hour of the ^[b](D)testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole ^[c](E)world, to ^[d]test ^(F)those who live on the earth. ^11 (G)I am coming quickly; ^(H)hold firmly to what you have, so that no one will take your ^(I)crown.
