37 (A)“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that (B)kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have (C)gathered (D)your children together (E)as a hen gathers her brood (F)under her wings, and (G)you were not willing! 38 See, (H)your house is left to you desolate. 39 For I tell you, you will not see me again, until you say, (I)‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’”

How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me. 38 And now, look, your house is abandoned and desolate.[a] 39 For I tell you this, you will never see me again until you say, ‘Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’[b]
