²⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, “You are ^[a]mistaken, ^(A)not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.

²⁴ Jesus answered and said to them, “Are you not therefore ^[a]mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God?

⁴⁹ I was daily with you in the temple ^(A)teaching, and you did not seize Me. But ^(B)the Scriptures must be fulfilled.”

^39 (A)You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and ^(B)these are they which testify of Me.

^38 (A)He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, ^(B)out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

³⁵ If He called them gods, ^(A)to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture ^(B)cannot be broken),

¹² While I was with them ^[a]in the world, ^(A)I kept them in ^[b]Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and ^(B)none of them is ^[c]lost ^(C)except the son of ^[d]perdition, ^(D)that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

²¹ And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is ^(A)fulfilled in your hearing.”
