²⁹ Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures^(A) or the power of God.

⁵⁴ But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled^(A) that say it must happen in this way?”

⁵⁶ But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled.”^(A) Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.

¹⁰ Haven’t you read this passage of Scripture:

²⁴ Jesus replied, “Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures^(A) or the power of God?

⁴⁹ Every day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts,^(A) and you did not arrest me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled.”^(B)
