32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness and you did not believe him; but (A)the tax collectors and prostitutes did believe him; and you, seeing this, did not even [a]have second thoughts afterward so as to believe him.
Parable of the Landowner
33 “Listen to another parable. (B)There was a [b]landowner who (C)planted a (D)vineyard and put a [c]fence around it, and dug a wine press in it, and built a tower, and he leased it to [d]vine-growers and (E)went on a journey. 34 And when the [e]harvest time approached, he (F)sent his slaves to the vine-growers to receive his fruit.

32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.
33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:
34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.
