The Lesson of the Withered Fig Tree(A)
20 (B)And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?”
21 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, (C)if you have faith and (D)do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, (E)but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. 22 And (F)whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

20 When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither at once?” 21 And Jesus answered them, (A)“Truly, I say to you, (B)if you have faith and (C)do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, (D)‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. 22 And (E)whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, (F)if you have faith.”
