Jesus Cleanses the Temple(A)
12 (B)Then Jesus went into the temple [a]of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the (C)money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 13 And He said to them, “It is written, (D)‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a (E)‘den of thieves.’ ”
14 Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. 15 But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the (F)Son of David!” they were [b]indignant 16 and said to Him, “Do You hear what these are saying?”
And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read,
(G)‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have perfected praise’?”
17 Then He left them and (H)went out of the city to Bethany, and He lodged there.
The Fig Tree Withered(I)
18 (J)Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. 19 (K)And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away.
The Lesson of the Withered Fig Tree(L)
20 (M)And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?”
21 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, (N)if you have faith and (O)do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, (P)but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. 22 And (Q)whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
17 And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.
18 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.
19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
