²⁸ just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,^(A) and to give his life as a ransom for many.’^(B)

²⁸ Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock^(A) of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers,^(B) to shepherd the church of God,^[a] which he purchased with his own blood.^(C)

⁶ who gave himself as a ransom for all,^(A) a testimony at the proper time.

¹² he entered the most holy place once for all time, not by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.^(A)
