²⁵ But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. ²⁶ Yet ^(A)it shall not be so among you; but ^(B)whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. ^27 (C)And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave— ^28 (D)just as the ^(E)Son of Man did not come to be served, ^(F)but to serve, and ^(G)to give His life a ransom ^(H)for many.”

¹⁰ And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. ¹¹ But ^(A)he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. ^12 (B)And whoever exalts himself will be ^[a]humbled, and he who humbles himself will be ^[b]exalted.

³⁵ And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, ^(A)“If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”

^43 (A)Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. ⁴⁴ And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. ⁴⁵ For even ^(B)the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and ^(C)to give His life a ransom for many.”
