Matthew 18:18-20

New International Version

¹⁸“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be^[a] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be^[b] loosed in heaven.^(A)

¹⁹“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them^(B) by my Father in heaven. ²⁰For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”^(C)

¹⁰I brought you up out of Egypt^(A)
and led^(B) you forty years in the wilderness^(C)
to give you the land of the Amorites.^(D)

¹¹“I also raised up prophets^(E) from among your children
and Nazirites^(F) from among your youths.
Is this not true, people of Israel?”
declares the Lord.
¹²“But you made the Nazirites drink wine
and commanded the prophets not to prophesy.^(G)

¹³“Now then, I will crush you
    as a cart crushes when loaded with grain.^(H)
¹⁴The swift will not escape,^(I)
    the strong^(J) will not muster their strength,
    and the warrior will not save his life.^(K)
¹⁵The archer^(L) will not stand his ground,
    the fleet-footed soldier will not get away,
    and the horseman^(M) will not save his life.^(N)
¹⁶Even the bravest warriors^(O)
    will flee naked on that day,”
declares the Lord.
