Matthew 17:14-21

¹⁴ And when they had come to the multitude, a certain man came to Him and fell down at His feet,

¹⁵ and said, “Master, have pity on my son. For he is lunatic and suffers greatly. For he often falls into the fire, and often into the water.

¹⁶ “And I brought him to Your disciples, and they could not heal him.”

¹⁷ Then Jesus answered, and said, “O faithless and crooked generation. How long now shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.”

¹⁸ And Jesus rebuked the demon. And he went out of him. And the child was healed at that hour.

¹⁹ Then the disciples came to Jesus privately, and said, “Why could not we cast it out?”

²⁰ And Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For truly I say to you, if you have faith as much as is a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’, and it shall move. And nothing shall be impossible to you.

²¹ “Nevertheless, this kind only comes out by prayer and fasting.”
