Take Up the Cross and Follow Him^(A)

^24 (B)Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and ^(C)follow Me. ²⁵ For ^(D)whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. ²⁶ For what ^(E)profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or ^(F)what will a man give in exchange for his soul? ²⁷ For ^(G)the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father ^(H)with His angels, ^(I)and then He will reward each according to his works.

Living Sacrifices to God

12 I ^(A)beseech^[a] you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies ^(B)a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your ^[b]reasonable service.

¹⁸ And ^(A)do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, ¹⁹ speaking to one another ^(B)in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making ^(C)melody in your heart to the Lord, ^20 (D)giving thanks always for all things to God the Father ^(E)in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
