²⁴ Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, ^(A)take up his cross, and follow Me.

¹⁵ For I gave you ^(A)an example, so that you also would do just as I did for you.

²¹ For ^(A)you have been called for this purpose, ^(B)because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you ^(C)an example, so that you would follow in His steps,

⁶ the one who says that he ^(A)remains in Him ^(B)ought, himself also, to walk just as He walked.
