Tradition and Commandment
15 (A)Then some Pharisees and scribes *came to Jesus (B)from Jerusalem and said, 2 “Why do Your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they (C)do not wash their hands when they eat bread.” 3 And He answered and said to them, “Why do you yourselves also break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God said, ‘(D)Honor your father and mother,’ and, ‘(E)The one who speaks evil of father or mother is to [a]be put to death.’ 5 But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever I have that would help you has been [b]given to God,” 6 he is not to [c]honor his father or mother.’ And by this you have invalidated the word of God for the sake of your tradition. 7 You hypocrites, rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you, by saying:
8 ‘(F)This people honors Me with their lips,
But their heart is far away from Me.
9 And in vain do they worship Me,
Teaching as (G)doctrines the commandments of men.’”
10 After Jesus called the crowd to Him, He said to them, “Hear and understand! 11 (H)It is not what enters the mouth that defiles the person, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles the person.”
12 Then the disciples came and *said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were [d]offended when they heard this statement?” 13 But He answered and said, “(I)Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted. 14 Leave them alone; (J)they are blind guides [e]of blind people. And (K)if a person who is blind guides another who is blind, both will fall into a pit.”
The Heart of Mankind
15 Peter [f]said to Him, “(L)Explain the parable to us.” 16 [g]Jesus said, “Are you also still lacking in understanding? 17 Do you not understand that everything that goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is [h]eliminated? 18 But (M)the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and those things defile the person. 19 (N)For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, acts of adultery, other immoral sexual acts, thefts, false testimonies, and [i]slanderous statements. 20 These are the things that defile the person; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the person.”
The Faith of a Canaanite Woman
21 (O)Jesus went away from there, and withdrew into the region of (P)Tyre and (Q)Sidon. 22 And a Canaanite woman from that region came out and began to cry out, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, (R)Son of David; my daughter is severely (S)demon-possessed.” 23 But He did not answer her with even a word. And His disciples came up and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, because she keeps shouting [j]at us!” 24 But He answered and said, “I was sent only to (T)the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” 25 But she came and (U)began [k]to bow down before Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” 26 Yet He answered and said, “It is not [l]good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” 27 And she said, “Yes, Lord; but please help, for even the dogs feed on the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” 28 Then Jesus said to her, “O woman, (V)your faith is great; it shall be done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed [m]at once.
Healing Crowds
29 (W)Departing from there, Jesus went along (X)the Sea of Galilee, and after going up on the mountain, He was sitting there. 30 And [n]large crowds came to Him bringing with them those who were limping, had impaired limbs, were blind, or were unable to speak, and many others, and they laid them down at His feet; and (Y)He healed them. 31 So the crowd was astonished as they saw those who were unable to speak talking, those with impaired limbs [o]restored, those who were limping walking around, and those who were blind seeing; and they (Z)glorified the God of Israel.
Four Thousand Men Fed
32 (AA)Now Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “(AB)I feel compassion for the [p]people, because they [q]have remained with Me now for three days and have nothing to eat; and I do not want to send them away hungry, for they might faint on the way.” 33 The disciples *said to Him, “Where would we get so many loaves in this desolate place to satisfy such a large crowd?” 34 And Jesus *said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven, and a few small fish.” 35 And He directed the [r]people to [s]sit down on the ground; 36 and He took the seven loaves and the fish; and after (AC)giving thanks, He broke them and started giving them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. 37 And they all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up what was left over of the broken pieces, seven large (AD)baskets full. 38 And those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
39 And sending away the crowds, Jesus got into (AE)the boat and came to the region of (AF)Magadan.

Кое прави човека нечист
10 И като повика народа при Себе Си, рече му: „Чуйте и разберете: 11 не това, което влиза в устата, осквернява човека, а онова, което излиза от устата, то осквернява човека.“
12 Тогава учениците Му се приближиха и Му рекоха: „Знаеш ли, че фарисеите се възмутиха, като чуха тези думи?“ 13 А Той им отговори: „Всяко растение, което не е насадил Моят небесен Отец, ще бъде изкоренено. 14 (F)Оставете ги – те са слепи водачи на слепци, ако пък слепец води слепец, ще паднат и двамата в ямата.“
15 В отговор Петър Му рече: „Разясни ни тази притча.“ 16 Иисус им каза: „Вие все още ли не разбирате? 17 Още ли не разбирате, че всичко, което влиза в устата, отива в корема и после се изхвърля навън? 18 (G)А онова, което излиза от устата, идва от сърцето; то именно осквернява човека. 19 Защото от сърцето излизат зли помисли, убийства, прелюбодеяния, блудства, кражби, лъжесвидетелства, богохулство. 20 Това осквернява човека, а яденето с неумити ръце не осквернява човека.“
Вярата на една езичница
21 (H)И като напусна онова място, Иисус замина за областите на Тир и Сидон. 22 И ето една жена ханаанка излезе от онези места и викаше силно към Него: „Смили се над мене, Господи, Сине Давидов! Дъщеря ми е измъчвана тежко от бяс.“ 23 Но Той не ѝ отвърна ни дума. Тогава учениците Му се приближиха и Го помолиха: „Отпрати я, защото вика след нас.“ 24 (I)А Той отговори: „Аз съм изпратен само при заблудените овце от дома на Израил.“ 25 Но жената се приближи, кланяше Му се и казваше: „Господи, помогни ми!“ 26 (J)Тогава Той ѝ отговори: „Не е добре да се вземе хлябът от децата и да се хвърли на кучетата.“ 27 А тя рече: „Да, Господи, но и кучетата ядат от трохите, които падат от трапезата на господарите им.“ 28 Тогава Иисус ѝ отговори: „Жено, голяма е вярата ти! Нека бъде, както желаеш.“ И от онзи час дъщеря ѝ оздравя.
Изцеляване на множество болни
29 (K)(L)Иисус тръгна оттам и дойде при Галилейското езеро. Изкачи се на височината и седна там. 30 И дойде при Него много народ, сред който имаше куци, слепи, неми, недъгави и много други; поставиха ги пред нозете на Иисус и Той ги изцели. 31 (M)Така че народът се чудеше, като гледаше неми да проговарят, недъгави да оздравяват, куци да прохождат и слепи да проглеждат. И прославиха Бога Израилев.
Ново чудесно нахранване на четири хиляди души
32 (N)(O)А Иисус повика учениците Си и им каза: „Жал Ми е за народа, че вече три дена стои при Мене и няма какво да ядат; а не искам да ги разпусна гладни, за да не им прималее по пътя.“ 33 И учениците Му казаха: „Откъде да вземем в това ненаселено място толкова хляб, за да нахраним толкова народ?“ 34 Иисус ги попита: „Колко хляба имате?“ Те отговориха: „Седем хляба и няколко рибки.“ 35 Тогава заповяда на народа да насяда на земята. 36 И като взе седемте хляба и рибите, изрече благодарствена молитва, разчупи и даде на учениците Си, а учениците – на народа. 37 Ядоха всички и се наситиха. И събраха останали къшеи седем пълни коша. 38 А хората, които ядоха, бяха четири хиляди, без жените и децата.
39 И като разпусна народа, качи се в лодката и пристигна в пределите на Магдала.

15 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
29 And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:
31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
32 Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
33 And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
34 And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.
38 And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children.
39 And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala.
