34 All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables, and He was not speaking to them (A)without a parable 35 so that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,
“(B)I will open My mouth in parables;
I will utter things hidden since the foundation of the world.”

Why Jesus Used Parables(A)
34 Jesus told the crowds all these things in parables. He did not tell them anything without using[a] a parable. 35 This was to fulfill what was declared by the prophet[b] when he said,
“I will open my mouth to speak[c] in parables.
I will declare what has been hidden
since the creation of the world.”[d]
