The Parable of the Sower
13 On that day Jesus went out of (A)the house and was sitting (B)by the sea. 2 And [a]large crowds gathered to Him, so (C)He got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd was standing on the beach.
3 And He spoke many things to them in (D)parables, saying, “Behold, the sower went out to sow; 4 and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up. 5 And others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil. 6 But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 7 And others fell [b]among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them out. 8 And others fell on the good soil and were yielding [c]a crop, some a (E)hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty. 9 (F)He who has ears, [d]let him hear.”
The Purpose of the Parables
10 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” 11 And [e]Jesus answered and said to them, “(G)To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 (H)For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him. 13 Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while (I)seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,
‘[f](J)You will keep on hearing, [g]but will not understand;
[h]You will keep on seeing, but will not perceive;
15 (K)For the heart of this people has become dull,
And with their ears they scarcely hear,
And they have closed their eyes,
Lest they would see with their eyes,
Hear with their ears,
And understand with their heart and return,
And I would heal them.’
16 (L)But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. 17 For truly I say to you that (M)many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
The Parable of the Sower Explained
18 “(N)Hear then the parable of the sower. 19 When anyone hears (O)the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, (P)the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road. 20 And the one on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he [i](Q)falls away. 22 And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the worry of (R)the [j]world and the (S)deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 23 And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some (T)a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.”
The Parable of Tares Among Wheat
24 He presented another parable to them, saying, “(U)The kingdom of heaven [k]may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed [l]tares among the wheat, and went away. 26 But when the [m]wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also. 27 The slaves of the landowner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? [n]How then does it have tares?’ 28 And he said to them, ‘An [o]enemy has done this!’ The slaves *said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he *said, ‘No; for while you are gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but (V)gather the wheat into my barn.”’”
Parables of the Mustard Seed and Leaven
31 He presented another parable to them, saying, “(W)The kingdom of heaven is like (X)a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; 32 and this is the [p]smallest of all seeds, but when it is fully grown, it is the [q]largest of the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that (Y)the birds of the [r]air come and nest in its branches.”
33 He spoke another parable to them, “(Z)The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in [s](AA)three sata of flour until it was all leavened.”
34 All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables, and He was not speaking to them (AB)without a parable 35 so that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,
“(AC)I will open My mouth in parables;
I will utter things hidden since the foundation of the world.”
The Parable of Tares Explained
36 Then He left the crowds and went into (AD)the house. And His disciples came to Him and said, “(AE)Explain to us the parable of the [t]tares of the field.” 37 And He answered and said, “The one who sows the good seed is (AF)the Son of Man, 38 and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are (AG)the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are (AH)the sons of (AI)the evil one; 39 and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is (AJ)the [u]end of the age; and the reapers are angels. 40 So just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at (AK)the [v]end of the age. 41 (AL)The Son of Man (AM)will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom [w]all (AN)stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, 42 and (AO)will throw them into the fiery furnace; in that place (AP)there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43 (AQ)Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. (AR)He who has ears, [x]let him hear.
A Hidden Treasure
44 “(AS)The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and (AT)sells all that he has and buys that field.
A Costly Pearl
45 “Again, (AU)the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls, 46 and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.
A Dragnet
47 “Again, (AV)the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea, and gathering fish of every kind; 48 and when it was filled, they drew it up on the beach; and they sat down and gathered the good fish into containers, but the bad they threw away. 49 So it will be at (AW)the [y]end of the age; the angels will come forth and [z]take out the wicked from among the righteous, 50 and (AX)will throw them into the fiery furnace; in that place (AY)there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
51 “Have you understood all these things?” They *said to Him, “Yes.” 52 And He said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”
Jesus Rejected at Nazareth
53 [aa](AZ)Now it happened that when Jesus had finished these parables, He departed from there. 54 (BA)And He came to [ab]His hometown and (BB)began teaching them in their synagogue, so that (BC)they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these [ac]miraculous powers? 55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not (BD)His mother called Mary, and His (BE)brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? 56 And (BF)His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” 57 And they were taking (BG)offense at Him. But Jesus said to them, “(BH)A prophet is not without honor except in his [ad]hometown and in his own household.” 58 And He did not do many [ae]miracles there because of their unbelief.

用比喻的目的
10 门徒上前问耶稣：“你为什么要用比喻来教导他们呢？”
11 耶稣回答说：“天国的奥秘只让你们知道，不让他们知道。 12 因为凡有的，还要给他更多，他就丰富有余；凡没有的，连他仅有的也要夺去。 13 我用比喻教导他们是因为他们视而不见，听而不闻，闻而不悟。 14 以赛亚的预言正应验在他们身上，
“‘你们听了又听，却不明白；
看了又看，却不领悟。
15 因为这些人心灵麻木，
耳朵发背，眼睛昏花，
以致眼睛看不见，耳朵听不见，
心里不明白，无法回心转意，
得不到我的医治。’
16 “但你们的眼睛是有福的，因为看得见；你们的耳朵也是有福的，因为听得见。 17 我实在告诉你们，以前有许多先知和义人曾渴望看见你们所看见的，听见你们所听见的，却未能如愿。
解释比喻
18 “所以，你们应当留心这撒种的比喻。 19 种子落在路旁，是指人听了天国的道理却不明白，魔鬼乘虚而入，把撒在他心里的夺走了； 20 种子落在石头地上，是指人听了道后，立刻欢喜地接受了， 21 但因为他心里没有根基，不过是暂时接受，一旦为道遭受患难或迫害，就立刻放弃了信仰； 22 种子落在荆棘丛中，是指人虽然听过道，但生活的忧虑和钱财的迷惑把道挤住了，以致不能结出果实。 23 种子落在沃土里，是指人听了道，并明白了道，就结出果实来，有的多达一百倍，有的六十倍，有的三十倍。”
毒麦的比喻
24 耶稣又给他们讲了一个比喻，说：“天国就像一个人，将好种子撒在田里。 25 人们睡觉的时候，仇敌过来把毒麦撒在他的麦田里，就走了。 26 当麦子长苗吐穗时，毒麦也长起来了。 27 奴仆看见了就来问主人，‘主人啊！你不是把好种子撒在田里了吗？从哪里来的毒麦呢？’
28 “主人回答说，‘这是仇敌做的。’奴仆问道，‘要我们去拔掉它们吗？’
29 “主人说，‘不用了，因为拔毒麦会连麦子一起拔掉。 30 让它们跟麦子一起生长吧，到收割的时候，我会吩咐收割的工人先把毒麦收集起来，扎成捆，留着烧，然后将麦子存入谷仓。’”
芥菜种和面酵的比喻
31 耶稣又给他们讲了一个比喻：“天国就像一粒芥菜种，人把它种在田里。 32 它虽然是种子中最小的，却长得比其他蔬菜都大，并且长成一棵树，天空的飞鸟也来栖息。”
33 祂又给他们讲了个比喻：“天国就像面酵，妇人拿来掺在三斗面里，使整盆面都发起来。”
34 耶稣总是用比喻对众人讲这些事，祂每次对他们讲话时都用比喻。 35 这是要应验先知的话：“我要开口讲比喻，道出创世以来隐藏的事。”
解释毒麦的比喻
36 后来，耶稣离开人群，进到屋里。门徒也跟着进去，对耶稣说：“请为我们解释毒麦的比喻。”
37 耶稣说：“那撒下好种子的就是人子， 38 麦田代表整个世界，那些好种子就是天国的子民。毒麦就是那些属于魔鬼的人， 39 撒毒麦的仇敌就是魔鬼。收割的日子便是世界的末日，收割的工人就是天使。
40 “毒麦怎样被拔出来丢在火里烧，同样，在世界末日的时候， 41 人子也将派天使把一切引人犯罪和作孽的人从祂国里挑出来， 42 丢进火里。那时，他们将在那里哀哭切齿。 43 那时，义人要在他们天父的国度像太阳一样发出光辉。有耳朵的，都应当听。
宝藏与珍珠的比喻
44 “天国就像藏在地里的宝贝，有人发现了，就把它埋好，然后欢然变卖他所有的财产去买那块地。
45 “天国就像一个四处搜购贵重珍珠的商人。 46 他找到一颗极贵重的珍珠，就变卖了一切的产业，把它买下来。
撒网的比喻
47 “天国就像一张渔网，撒在海里捕到了各种鱼。 48 网满了，人们把网拉上岸，然后坐下来挑选，好的就收起来，不好的就丢掉。 49 世界末日的时候也是这样。天使必把恶人从义人中拣出来， 50 丢在火炉里，让恶人在那里哀哭切齿。 51 你们明白这些事了吗？”
他们回答说：“我们明白了。”
52 耶稣说：“律法教师成为天国的门徒后，就像一个家的主人，能从他的库房里拿出新的和旧的东西来。”
拿撒勒人厌弃耶稣
53 耶稣讲完了这些比喻，就离开那里， 54 回到自己的家乡拿撒勒，在会堂里教导人。人们很惊奇，说：“这个人从哪里得到如此的智慧和神奇的能力呢？ 55 这不是那木匠的儿子吗？祂母亲不是玛丽亚吗？祂的弟弟不是雅各、约瑟、西门和犹大吗？ 56 祂的妹妹们不也是住在我们这里吗？祂究竟从哪里得来这一身本领呢？” 57 他们就对祂很反感。

13 Ese mismo día salió Jesús de la casa y se sentó a la orilla del lago. 2 La multitud que se reunió para verlo era tan grande que él tuvo que subir a una barca donde se sentó mientras toda la gente estaba de pie en la orilla. 3 Y dijo en parábolas muchas cosas como estas: «Un sembrador salió a sembrar. 4 Mientras iba esparciendo las semillas, una parte cayó junto al camino, llegaron los pájaros y se las comieron. 5 Otra parte cayó en terreno pedregoso, sin mucha tierra. Esas semillas brotaron pronto porque la tierra no era profunda; 6 pero cuando salió el sol, las plantas se marchitaron y por no tener raíz se secaron. 7 Otra parte de las semillas cayó entre espinos que, al crecer, ahogaron las plantas. 8 Pero las otras semillas cayeron en buen terreno, en el que se dio una cosecha que rindió hasta cien, sesenta y treinta veces más de lo que se había sembrado. 9 El que tenga oídos, que oiga».

—¿Por qué hablas a la gente en parábolas?
11 Él respondió:
—A ustedes se les ha concedido conocer los misterios del reino de los cielos; pero a ellos no. 12 Al que tiene se le dará más y tendrá en abundancia. Al que no tiene hasta lo que tiene se le quitará. 13 Por eso les hablo a ellos en parábolas:
»Aunque miren, no vean;
aunque oigan, no escuchen ni entiendan.
14 En ellos se cumple la profecía de Isaías:
“Por mucho que oigan, no entenderán;
por mucho que vean, no comprenderán.
15 Porque el corazón de este pueblo se ha vuelto insensible;
se les han tapado los oídos
y se les han cerrado los ojos.
De lo contrario, verían con los ojos,
oirían con los oídos,
entenderían con el corazón,
se arrepentirían y yo los sanaría”.[a]

18 »Escuchen ahora lo que significa la parábola del sembrador: 19 Cuando alguien oye la palabra acerca del reino y no la entiende, viene el maligno y arrebata lo que se sembró en su corazón. Esta es la semilla sembrada junto al camino. 20 El que recibió la semilla que cayó en el suelo lleno de piedras es el que oye la palabra y de inmediato la recibe con alegría. 21 Pero como no tiene raíz, dura poco tiempo. Cuando surgen problemas o persecución a causa de la palabra, enseguida se aparta de ella. 22 El que recibió la semilla que cayó entre espinos es el que oye la palabra, pero las preocupaciones de esta vida y el engaño de las riquezas la ahogan. Por eso, la semilla no llega a dar fruto. 23 Pero el que recibió la semilla que cayó en buen terreno es el que oye la palabra y la entiende. Este sí produce una cosecha hasta cien, sesenta y treinta veces más».
Parábola de la mala hierba
24 Jesús contó otra parábola: «El reino de los cielos es como un hombre que sembró buena semilla en su campo. 25 Pero mientras todos dormían, llegó su enemigo y sembró mala hierba entre el trigo y se fue. 26 Cuando brotó el trigo y se formó la espiga, apareció también la mala hierba. 27 Los siervos fueron al dueño y le dijeron: “Señor, ¿no sembró usted semilla buena en su campo? Entonces, ¿de dónde salió la mala hierba?”. 28 “Esto es obra de un enemigo”, respondió. Le preguntaron los siervos: “¿Quiere usted que vayamos a arrancarla?”. 29 “¡No! —contestó—, no sea que, al arrancar la mala hierba, arranquen con ella el trigo. 30 Dejen que crezcan juntos hasta la cosecha. Entonces diré a los segadores: Recojan primero la mala hierba y átenla en manojos para quemarla; después recojan el trigo y guárdenlo en mi granero”».
Parábolas de la semilla de mostaza y de la levadura
31 Les contó otra parábola: «El reino de los cielos es como una semilla de mostaza que un hombre sembró en su campo. 32 Aunque es la más pequeña de todas las semillas, cuando crece es la más grande de las plantas del huerto. Se convierte en árbol, de modo que vienen las aves y anidan en sus ramas».
33 Les contó otra parábola más: «El reino de los cielos es como la levadura que una mujer tomó y mezcló en tres medidas[b] de harina, hasta que hizo crecer toda la masa».
34 Jesús dijo a la multitud todas estas cosas en parábolas. No decía nada sin emplear parábolas. 35 Así se cumplió lo dicho por el profeta:
«Hablaré por medio de parábolas;
revelaré cosas que han estado ocultas desde la creación del mundo».[c]
Jesús explica la parábola de la mala hierba
36 Una vez que se despidió de la multitud, entró en la casa. Se acercaron sus discípulos y le pidieron:
—Explícanos la parábola de la mala hierba del campo.
37 —El que sembró la buena semilla es el Hijo del hombre —respondió Jesús—. 38 El campo es el mundo y la buena semilla representa a los hijos del reino. La mala hierba son los hijos del maligno, 39 y el enemigo que la siembra es el diablo. La cosecha es el fin del mundo,[d] y los segadores son los ángeles.
40 »Así como se recoge la mala hierba y se quema en el fuego, ocurrirá también al fin del mundo. 41 El Hijo del hombre enviará a sus ángeles y arrancarán de su reino a todos los que pecan y hacen pecar. 42 Los arrojarán al horno encendido, donde habrá llanto y crujir de dientes. 43 Entonces los justos brillarán en el reino de su Padre como el sol. El que tenga oídos, que oiga.
Parábolas del tesoro escondido y de la perla
44 »El reino de los cielos es como un tesoro escondido en un campo. Cuando un hombre lo descubrió, lo volvió a esconder, y lleno de alegría fue y vendió todo lo que tenía y compró ese campo.
45 »También se parece el reino de los cielos a un comerciante que andaba buscando perlas finas. 46 Cuando encontró una de gran valor, fue y vendió todo lo que tenía y la compró.
Parábola de la red
47 »También se parece el reino de los cielos a una red echada al lago, que atrapa peces de toda clase. 48 Cuando se llena, los pescadores la sacan a la orilla, se sientan y recogen en canastas los peces buenos y desechan los malos. 49 Así será al fin del mundo. Vendrán los ángeles y apartarán de los justos a los malvados. 50 Luego los arrojarán al horno encendido, donde habrá llanto y crujir de dientes».
51 —¿Han entendido todo esto? —preguntó Jesús.
—Sí —respondieron ellos.
52 Entonces concluyó Jesús:
—Todo maestro de la Ley que ha sido instruido acerca del reino de los cielos es como el dueño de una casa que, de lo que tiene guardado, saca tesoros nuevos y viejos.
Jesús es rechazado en su tierra
53 Cuando Jesús terminó de contar estas parábolas, se fue de allí. 54 Al llegar a su pueblo, comenzó a enseñar a la gente en la sinagoga.
—¿De dónde sacó este tal sabiduría y tales poderes milagrosos? —decían maravillados—. 55 ¿No es acaso el hijo del carpintero? ¿No se llama su madre María y no son sus hermanos Santiago, José, Simón y Judas? 56 ¿No están con nosotros todas sus hermanas? Así que, ¿de dónde sacó todas estas cosas?
57 Y se escandalizaban a causa de él. Pero Jesús les dijo:
—En todas partes se honra a un profeta, menos en su tierra y en su propia casa.
58 Y por la falta de fe de ellos, no hizo allí muchos milagros.

18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
53 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.
54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
