37 And He said, “The one who sows the good seed is (A)the Son of Man, 38 and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are (B)the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are (C)the sons of (D)the evil one; 39 and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is (E)the [a]end of the age; and the reapers are angels.

37 Jesus replied, “The Son of Man[a] is the farmer who plants the good seed. 38 The field is the world, and the good seed represents the people of the Kingdom. The weeds are the people who belong to the evil one. 39 The enemy who planted the weeds among the wheat is the devil. The harvest is the end of the world,[b] and the harvesters are the angels.
