The Parable of the Leaven^(A)

^33 (B)Another parable He spoke to them: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three ^[a]measures of meal till ^(C)it was all leavened.”

^9 (A)A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

^6 (A)Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that ^(B)a little leaven leavens the whole lump? ⁷ Therefore ^[a]purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed ^(C)Christ, our ^(D)Passover, was sacrificed ^[b]for us.

²¹ It is like ^[a]leaven, which a woman took and hid in three ^(A)measures^[b] of meal till it was all leavened.”

¹³ for ^(A)it is God who works in you both to will and to do ^(B)for His good pleasure.

¹⁴ Do all things ^(C)without ^[a]complaining and ^(D)disputing,^{[b] 15} that you may become blameless and ^[c]harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as ^(E)lights in the world,

Blessing and Admonition

²³ Now may ^(A)the God of peace Himself ^(B)sanctify^[a] you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body ^(C)be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. ²⁴ He who calls you is ^(D)faithful, who also will ^(E)do it.
