¹⁶ and ^(A)warned them not to make Him known,

³³ And they said to Him, “^(A)The disciples of John often fast and offer prayers, the disciples of the Pharisees also do likewise, but Yours eat and drink.”

³⁴ But a Pharisee named ^(A)Gamaliel, a ^(B)teacher of the Law, respected by all the people, stood up in ^(C)the Sanhedrin and gave orders to put the men outside for a short time.

² And some devout men buried Stephen and made loud lamentation over him.

A Plot to Kill Paul

¹² Now when it was day, ^(A)the Jews formed a ^[a]conspiracy and ^(B)bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink until they had killed Paul. ¹³ And there were more than forty who formed this scheme.
