¹⁴ But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.^(A)

¹⁵ Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. A large crowd followed him, and he healed all who were ill.^(B)

³ Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled^(A) in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas,^{(B) 4} and they schemed to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him.^(C)
