Woe to Unrepentant Cities

20 Then He began to denounce the cities in which most of His [a](A)miracles were done, because they did not repent. 21 (B)Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, (C)Bethsaida! For if the [b]miracles had occurred in (D)Tyre and (E)Sidon which occurred in you, they would have repented long ago in [c](F)sackcloth and ashes. 22 Nevertheless I say to you, (G)it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in (H)the day of judgment than for you. 23 And (I)Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will (J)descend to (K)Hades; for if the [d]miracles had occurred in (L)Sodom which occurred in you, it would have remained to this day. 24 Nevertheless I say to you that (M)it will be more tolerable for the land of (N)Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you.”

For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago (C)in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I say to you, (D)it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, (E)who[a] are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. 24 But I say to you (F)that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.”
