24 “A disciple mathētēs is eimi not ou above hyper his ho teacher didaskalos, nor oude a servant above hyper · ho his autos master kyrios. 25 It is enough arketos for the ho disciple mathētēs that hina he be ginomai as hōs · ho his autos teacher didaskalos, and kai the ho servant as hōs · ho his autos master kyrios. If ei they have called epikaleō the ho head oikodespotēs of the house ‘ Beelzebul Beelzeboul,’ how posos much more mallon will they revile the ho members oikiakos of his autos household !
26 “ Therefore oun do not mē be afraid phobeomai of them autos; for gar there is eimi nothing oudeis covered kalyptō that hos will not ou be uncovered apokalyptō, and kai hidden kryptos that hos will not ou be made known ginōskō. 27 What hos I say legō to you hymeis in en the ho darkness skotia, speak legō in en the ho light phōs; and kai what hos you hear akouō in eis the ho ear ous proclaim kēryssō from epi the ho housetops dōma. 28 · kai Do not mē be afraid phobeomai of apo those ho who can kill apokteinō the ho body sōma but de cannot mē kill apokteinō the ho soul psychē. 26 “不要害怕那些迫害你们的人。因为掩盖的事终会暴露出来，隐藏的秘密终会被人知道。 27 你们要把我私下告诉你们的当众讲出来，你们要在屋顶上把听到的悄悄话宣告出来。 28 那些只能杀害身体，不能毁灭灵魂的人，不用怕他们。但要畏惧那位有权将身体和灵魂一同毁灭在地狱里的上帝。 29 两只麻雀不是只卖一个铜钱吗？然而没有天父的许可，一只也不会掉在地上。 30 就连你们的头发都被数过了。 31 所以不要害怕，你们比许多麻雀更贵重！
32 “凡公开承认我的，我在天父面前也必承认他； 33 凡公开不承认我的，我在天父面前也必不承认他。
跟从主的代价
34 “不要以为我来了会让天下太平，我并非带来和平，乃是带来刀剑。 35 因为我来是要叫儿子与父亲作对，女儿与母亲作对，媳妇与婆婆作对， 36 家人之间反目成仇。
37 “爱父母过于爱我的人不配做我的门徒；爱儿女过于爱我的人不配做我的门徒； 38 不肯背起他的十字架跟从我的人不配做我的门徒。 39 试图保全自己生命的反而会失去生命，但为我舍弃生命的反而会得到生命。
得赏赐
40 “人接待你们就是接待我，接待我就是接待差我来的那位。 41 因为某人是先知而接待他的，必得到和先知一样的赏赐；因为某人是义人而接待他的，必得到和义人一样的赏赐。 42 人若接待我门徒中最卑微的人，并因为他是我的门徒而给他一杯凉水喝，我实在告诉你们，那人必得到赏赐。”

10 And (B)when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. 2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, (C)who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and [a]Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; 4 (D)Simon the [b]Cananite, and Judas (E)Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.
Sending Out the Twelve(F)
5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: (G)“Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of (H)the Samaritans. 6 (I)But go rather to the (J)lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 (K)And as you go, preach, saying, (L)‘The kingdom of heaven [c]is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, [d]cleanse the lepers, [e]raise the dead, cast out demons. (M)Freely you have received, freely give. 9 (N)Provide neither gold nor silver nor (O)copper in your money belts, 10 nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; (P)for a worker is worthy of his food.
11 (Q)“Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out. 12 And when you go into a household, greet it. 13 (R)If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. (S)But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 (T)And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, (U)shake off the dust from your feet. 15 Assuredly, I say to you, (V)it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!
Persecutions Are Coming(W)
16 (X)“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. (Y)Therefore be wise as serpents and (Z)harmless[f] as doves. 17 But beware of men, for (AA)they will deliver you up to councils and (AB)scourge you in their synagogues. 18 (AC)You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. 19 (AD)But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For (AE)it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; 20 (AF)for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
21 (AG)“Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. 22 And (AH)you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. (AI)But he who endures to the end will be saved. 23 (AJ)When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have (AK)gone through the cities of Israel (AL)before the Son of Man comes.
