1 下面是耶稣弥赛亚（基督）的家谱：
耶稣基督是大卫的后代，大卫是亚伯拉罕的后代。
2 亚伯拉罕是的父亲，
以撒是雅各的父亲，
雅各是犹大和其兄弟们的父亲，
3 犹大是法勒斯和谢拉的父亲，
他玛是法勒斯和谢拉的母亲，
法勒斯是希斯仑的父亲，
希斯仑是亚兰的父亲，
4 亚兰是亚米拿达的父亲，
亚米拿达是拿顺的父亲，
拿顺是撒门的父亲，
5 撒门是波阿斯的父亲，
波阿斯的母亲是喇合，
波阿斯是俄备得的父亲，
俄备得的母亲是路得，
俄备得是耶西的父亲，
6 耶西是大卫王的父亲，
大卫王是所罗门的父亲，
（所罗门的母亲曾经是乌利亚的妻子。）
7 所罗门是罗波安的父亲，
罗波安是亚比雅的父亲，
亚比雅是亚撒的父亲，
8 亚撒是约沙法的父亲，
约沙法是约兰的父亲，
约兰是乌西亚的父亲，
9 乌西亚是约坦的父亲，
约坦是亚哈斯的父亲，
亚哈斯是希西家的父亲，
10 希西家是玛拿西的父亲，
玛拿西是亚们的父亲，
亚们是约西亚的父亲，
11 约西亚是耶哥尼雅及其兄弟们的父亲，
（此时以色列人被驱逐到了巴比伦。）
12 被驱逐到巴比伦以后，
耶哥尼雅做了撒拉铁的父亲，
撒拉铁是所罗巴伯的父亲，
13 所罗巴伯是亚比玉的父亲，
亚比玉是以利亚敬的父亲，
以利亚敬是亚所的父亲，
14 亚所是撒督的父亲，
撒督是亚金的父亲，
亚金是以律的父亲，
15 以律是以利亚撒的父亲，
以利亚撒是马但的父亲，
马但是雅各的父亲，
16 雅各是约瑟的父亲，
约瑟是马利亚的丈夫，
马利亚是耶稣的母亲。
耶稣被人们称为弥赛亚
—即基督。
17 总而言之，从亚伯拉罕到大卫共十四代，从大卫到以色列人被驱逐到巴比伦为止，也是十四代，从定居巴比伦到基督出生，又是十四代。
基督耶稣降生
18 耶稣基督出生的经过是这样的：耶稣的母亲马利亚和约瑟订了婚，可是在他们结婚前，圣灵的力量就已经让马利亚怀孕了。 19 马利亚的未婚夫约瑟是个好人，他不愿让马利亚当众出丑，就想悄悄地和她解除婚约。
20 但是，就在约瑟考虑要解除婚约时，上帝的一位天使在他的梦中出现，对他说∶“约瑟，大卫的后代 [a]，不要害怕娶马利亚为妻，因为她怀的孩子是圣灵赐给她的。 21 她将生个儿子。你要给他起名叫耶稣 [b]，因为他将把他的子民从罪恶中拯救出来。”
22 这一切正好应验了上帝通过先知告诉人们的话。 23 “听着！那个处女要怀孕了，她将要生个儿子，名叫以马内利 [c]。 [d]”
24 约瑟从梦中醒来，就按照天使对他的指示，娶了马利亚。 25 但是在马利亚临产前，约瑟一直没有和她同房。孩子出生后，约瑟便给他起名叫“耶稣 [e]”。

3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;
4 And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;
5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
6 And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
7 And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;

16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.
