²⁷ And as Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, ^[a]crying out, “Have mercy on us, ^(A)Son of David!”

³⁹ And those who went ahead were rebuking him so that he would be quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, “^(A)Son of David, have mercy on me!”
