New Living Translation
16 “Besides, who would patch old clothing with new cloth? For the new patch would shrink and rip away from the old cloth, leaving an even bigger tear than before.
17 “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine is stored in new wineskins so that both are preserved.”

16 Nadie remienda un vestido viejo con un retazo de tela nueva, porque el remiendo fruncirá el vestido y la rotura se hará peor. 17 Ni tampoco se echa vino nuevo en recipientes de cuero viejo. De hacerlo así, se reventará el cuero, se derramará el vino y los recipientes se arruinarán. Más bien, el vino nuevo se echa en recipientes de cuero nuevo y así ambos se conservan.
