Matthew 5:29-32

New American Standard Bible

²⁹Now ^(A)if your right eye is causing you to sin, tear it out and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, ^[a]than for your whole body to be thrown into ^[b]^(B)hell. ³⁰And ^(C)if your right hand is causing you to sin, cut it off and throw it away from you; for it is better for you ^[c]to lose one of the parts of your body, ^[d]than for your whole body to go into ^[e]^(D)hell.

³¹“Now it was said, ‘^(E)Whoever sends his wife away is to give her a certificate of divorce’; ³²^(F)but I say to you that everyone who ^[f]divorces his wife, except for the reason of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery; and whoever marries a ^[g]divorced woman commits adultery.

²⁹If your right eye causes you to stumble,^(A) gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. ³⁰And if your right hand causes you to stumble,^(B) cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

Divorce

³¹“It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’^[a]^(C) ³²But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.^(D)
