^54 (A)Now the centurion, and those who were with him ^(B)keeping guard over Jesus, when they saw ^(C)the earthquake and the things that were happening, became very frightened and said, “Truly this was ^(D)God’s Son!”

⁴⁵ And ascertaining this from ^(A)the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.

^47 (A)Now when the centurion saw what had happened, he began ^(B)praising God, saying, “Certainly this man was righteous.”
