Matthew 27:38-43
New American Standard Bible
38 At that time two [a]rebels *were being crucified with Him, one on the right and one on the left. 39 And those passing by were [b]speaking abusively to Him, (A)shaking their heads, 40 and saying, “(B)You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself! (C)If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.” 41 In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes and elders, were mocking Him and saying, 42 “(D)He saved others; [c]He cannot save Himself! (E)He is the King of Israel; let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe in Him. 43 (F)He has trusted in God; let God rescue Him now, if He [d]takes pleasure in Him; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”

38 Then two (A)robbers were crucified with him, (B)one on the right and one on the left. 39 And (C)those who passed by (D)derided him, (E)wagging their heads 40 and saying, (F)“You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! (G)If you are (H)the Son of God, come down from the cross.” 41 So also the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him, saying, 42 (I)“He saved others; (J)he cannot save himself. (K)He is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. 43 (L)He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him. For he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”
