Matthew 26:67-69

⁶⁷Then they spat in his face and hit him. Some of them slapped him, ⁶⁸and said, “Prophesy for us, Mr. Messiah! Who was it who hit you?”

⁶⁹Meanwhile, Peter sat outside in the courtyard.

One of the servant-girls came up to him.

“You were with Jesus the Galilean too, weren’t you?” she said.

⁶⁷Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists.^(A) Others slapped him ⁶⁸and said, “Prophesy to us, Messiah. Who hit you?”^(B)

⁶⁹Now Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him. “You also were with Jesus of Galilee,” she said.
