Matthew 26:34-36

³⁴Jesus said to him, “I assure you that, before the rooster crows tonight, you will deny me three times.”

³⁵Peter said, “Even if I must die alongside you, I won’t deny you.” All the disciples said the same thing.

³⁶Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane. He said to the disciples, “Stay here while I go and pray over there.”

³⁴“Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.”^(A)

³⁵But Peter declared, “Even if I have to die with you,^(B) I will never disown you.” And all the other disciples said the same.

³⁶Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”
