Jesus’ Betrayal and Arrest
47 (A)And while He was still speaking, behold, (B)Judas, one of the twelve, came [a]accompanied by a large crowd with swords and clubs, who came from the chief priests and elders of the people. 48 Now he who was betraying Him gave them a sign previously, saying, “Whomever I kiss, He is the one; arrest Him.” 49 And immediately Judas went up to Jesus and said, “Greetings, (C)Rabbi!” and kissed Him. 50 But Jesus said to him, “(D)Friend, do what you have come for.” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and arrested Him.

Mark 14:17-21
New American Standard Bible
17 (A)When it was evening He *came with the twelve. 18 And as they were reclining at the table and eating, Jesus said, “Truly I say to you that one of you will [a]betray Me—[b]one who is eating with Me.” 19 They began to be grieved and to say to Him one by one, “Surely not I?” 20 But He said to them, “It is one of the twelve, the one who dips bread with Me in the bowl. 21 For the Son of Man is going away just as it is written about Him; but woe to that man [c]by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good [d]for that man if he had not been born.”

19 And when He had taken some bread and (A)given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, which is being given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 20 And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup, which is (B)poured out for you, is the (C)new covenant in My blood. 21 (D)But behold, the hand of the one betraying Me is with [a]Mine on the table. 22 For indeed, the Son of Man is going (E)as it has been determined; but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!” 23 And they began to debate among themselves which one of them it was who was going to do this.

John 13:18-30

18 (A)I am not speaking about all of you. I know the ones whom I have (B)chosen; but this is happening (C)so that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘(D)He who eats My bread has lifted up his heel against Me.’ 19 From now on (E)I am telling you before it happens, so that when it does happen, you may believe that (F)I am He. 20 Truly, truly I say to you, (G)the one who [a]receives anyone I send, [b]receives Me; and the one who [c]receives Me [d]receives Him who sent Me.”
Jesus Predicts His Betrayal
21 When Jesus had said these things, He (H)became troubled in spirit, and [e]testified and said, “Truly, truly I say to you that (I)one of you will [f]betray Me.” 22 The disciples began looking at one another, (J)at a loss to know of which one He was speaking. 23 Lying back on (K)Jesus’ chest was one of His disciples, (L)whom Jesus loved. 24 So Simon Peter *nodded to this disciple and *said to him, “Tell us who it is of whom He is speaking.” 25 He then simply (M)leaned back on Jesus’ chest and *said to Him, “Lord, who is it?” 26 Jesus then *answered, “That man is the one for whom I shall dip the piece of bread and give it to him.” So when He had dipped the piece of bread, He *took and *gave it to Judas, (N)the son of Simon Iscariot. 27 After [g]this, (O)Satan then (P)entered him. Therefore Jesus *said to him, “What you are doing, do it quickly.” 28 Now none of those reclining at the table knew for what purpose He had said this to him. 29 For some were assuming, since Judas (Q)kept the money box, that Jesus was saying to him, “Buy the things we need (R)for the feast”; or else, that he was to [h](S)give something to the poor. 30 So after receiving the piece of bread, he left immediately; and (T)it was night.

2 Now Judas, who was [a]betraying Him, also knew the place, because Jesus had (A)often met there with His disciples. 3 (B)So Judas, having obtained (C)the Roman [b]cohort and (D)officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, *came there with lanterns, (E)torches, and weapons. 4 Jesus therefore, (F)knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, came out into the open and *said to them, “(G)Whom are you seeking?” 5 They answered Him, “Jesus the Nazarene.” He *said to them, “I am He.” And Judas also, who was betraying Him, was standing with them.
