25 so[a] I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’ 26 But his master answered,[b] ‘Evil and lazy slave! So you knew that I harvest where I didn’t sow and gather where I didn’t scatter? 27 Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers,[c] and on my return I would have received my money back with interest![d]

26 “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.
