6 And you will be hearing of (A)wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. 7 For (B)nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be (C)famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 (D)But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pains.
9 “(E)Then they will hand you over to tribulation and kill you, and (F)you will be hated by all nations because of My name.

6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.(A) There will be famines(B) and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted(C) and put to death,(D) and you will be hated by all nations because of me.(E)

36 “But (A)about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. 37 For [a]the (B)coming of the Son of Man will be (C)just like the days of Noah. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, (D)marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that (E)Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did not [b]understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the (F)coming of the Son of Man be. 40 At that time there will be two men in the field; one [c]will be taken and one [d]will be left. 41 (G)Two women will be grinding at the [e](H)mill; one [f]will be taken and one [g]will be left.

42 “Therefore (I)be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming.

36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[a] but only the Father.(C) 37 As it was in the days of Noah,(D) so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage,(E) up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.(F) 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.(G) 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.(H)
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.(I)
