³¹ And he will send his angels^(A) with a loud trumpet call,^(B) and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

The Seventh Trumpet

¹⁵ The seventh angel sounded his trumpet,^(A) and there were loud voices^(B) in heaven, which said:

¹⁶ And the twenty-four elders,^(E) who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces^(F) and worshiped God, ¹⁷ saying:

¹⁹ Then God’s temple^(O) in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant.^(P) And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder,^(Q) an earthquake and a severe hailstorm.^(R)

¹⁶ For the Lord himself will come down from heaven,^(A) with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel^(B) and with the trumpet call of God,^(C) and the dead in Christ will rise first.^(D)

⁵¹ Listen, I tell you a mystery:^(A) We will not all sleep,^(B) but we will all be changed^(C)— ⁵² in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,^(D) the dead^(E) will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
