27 (A)For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 (B)For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

29 (D)“Immediately after the tribulation of those days (E)the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 (F)Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, (G)and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 (H)And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His [a]elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[a](E)
30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[b] will mourn(F) when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven,(G) with power and great glory.[c] 31 And he will send his angels(H) with a loud trumpet call,(I) and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
