Matthew 23:8-12
Contemporary English Version
8 But none of you should be called a teacher. You have only one teacher, and all of you are like brothers and sisters. 9 Don't call anyone on earth your father. All of you have the same Father in heaven. 10 None of you should be called the leader. The Messiah is your only leader. 11 (A) Whoever is the greatest should be the servant of the others. 12 (B) If you put yourself above others, you will be put down. But if you humble yourself, you will be honored.

8 “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9 And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father,(A) and he is in heaven. 10 Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. 11 The greatest among you will be your servant.(B) 12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.(C)
