³⁸ Behold, ^(A)your house is being left to you desolate! ³⁹ For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, ‘^(B)Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

⁸ On that day the Lord will ^(A)protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the one who ^[a](B)is feeble among them on that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like ^(C)God, like the ^(D)angel of the Lord before them. ⁹ And on that day I will ^(E)seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

¹⁰ “And I will ^(F)pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem ^[b]the Spirit of grace and of pleading, so that they will look at Me whom they ^(G)pierced; and they will mourn for Him, like one ^(H)mourning for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.

^7 (A)Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and ^(B)every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will ^(C)mourn over Him. ^[a]So it is to be. Amen.

²⁵ For ^(A)I do not want you, brothers and sisters, to be uninformed of this ^(B)mystery—so that you will not be ^(C)wise in your own estimation—that a partial ^(D)hardening has happened to Israel until the ^(E)fullness of the Gentiles has come in; ²⁶ and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written:

²⁸ In relation to the gospel they are ^(I)enemies on your account, but in relation to God’s choice they are beloved ^(J)on account of the fathers; ²⁹ for the gifts and the ^(K)calling of God ^(L)are irrevocable.
