42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:
(A)‘The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone.
This was the Lord’s doing,
And it is marvelous in our eyes’?
43 “Therefore I say to you, (B)the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it. 44 And (C)whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, (D)it will grind him to powder.”

has become the cornerstone;
the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes’[a]?(A)
43 “Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you(B) and given to a people who will produce its fruit. 44 Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.”[b](C)
