¹¹ And the crowds were saying, “This is ^(A)the prophet Jesus, from ^(B)Nazareth in Galilee.”

^16 (A)Fear gripped them all, and they began ^(B)glorifying God, saying, “A great ^(C)prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has ^[a]visited His people!”

³⁹ Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were ^(A)a prophet He would know who and what sort of person this woman is who is touching Him, that she is a ^[a]sinner.”

¹⁹ And He said to them, “What things?” And they said to Him, “The things about ^(A)Jesus the Nazarene, who was a ^(B)prophet mighty in deed and word in the sight of God and all the people,

¹⁴ Therefore when the people saw the ^[a]sign which He had performed, they said, “This is truly the ^(A)Prophet who is to come into the world.”

Division of People over Jesus

⁴⁰ Some of the people therefore, when they heard these words, were saying, “This certainly is ^(A)the Prophet.”

¹⁷ So they *said to the blind man ^(A)again, “What do you say about Him, since He opened your eyes?” And he said, “He is a ^(B)prophet.”
