10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, saying, Who is this? 11 And the multitudes said, This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.

12 And Jesus entered into the temple [a]of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold the doves; 13 and he saith unto them, It is written, [b]My house shall be called a house of prayer: [c]but ye make it a den of robbers. 14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. 15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children that were crying in the temple and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were moved with indignation, 16 and said unto him, Hearest thou what these are saying? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea: did ye never read, [d]Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? 17 And he left them, and went forth out of the city to Bethany, and lodged there.

11 The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet(A) from Nazareth in Galilee.”

12 Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying(C) and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers(D) and the benches of those selling doves.(E) 13 “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’[a](F) but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’[b](G)

14 The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them.(H) 15 But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple courts, “Hosanna to the Son of David,”(I) they were indignant.(J)

16 “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him.

“Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read,

“‘From the lips of children and infants
    you, Lord, have called forth your praise’[c]?”(K)

17 And he left them and went out of the city to Bethany,(L) where he spent the night.
