New International Version

¹⁶“So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”^(A)

¹⁶So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

³⁰^(A) There the ones who are now least important will be the most important, and those who are now most important will be least important.

³⁰Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.”^(A)

³⁰And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
