The Home in Nazareth(A)

19 Now when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 (B)saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who (C)sought the young Child’s life are dead.” 21 Then he arose, took the young Child and His mother, and came into the land of Israel.

22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And being warned by God in a (D)dream, he turned aside (E)into the region of Galilee. 23 And he came and dwelt in a city called (F)Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled (G)which was spoken by the prophets, “He shall be called a Nazarene.”

The Return to Nazareth

21 So he got up, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. 22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream,(D) he withdrew to the district of Galilee,(E) 23 and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth.(F) So was fulfilled(G) what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene.(H)

The Family Returns to Nazareth

39 So when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own city, Nazareth. 40 (A)And the Child grew and became strong [a]in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.
